What are the system requirements for running the online courses?
You will need a Flash player, PDF reader and a working version of PowerPoint. Other presentation software may work, but have not been tested at all configurations. If you run into problems, please report it and we’ll find a work-around for you.
Can I take your online courses on a Mac?
Yes, the videos run on Flash, which runs equally well on PCs and Macs. However, the session titled “Preparing A Presentation” uses a PowerPoint tool that was developed using a PC. Depending on your OS, the tool may not look like the on-screen version on the video. If you prefer, you can always convert the PowerPoint tool to Keynote.
You say we should work on preparing a real-life presentation during the first few sessions of the “Comprehensive Presentation Skills Course” and “Preparing A Presentation,” but I’m not sure what presentation I should work on. Any advice?
It’s really up to you. Since you’re developing a real-life presentation, most people get the greatest advantage out of working on one they have coming up.
